Terms & Conditions

Quick version — the stuff that matters

  • 1.One account per person. Don't make multiple accounts or use someone else's.
  • 2.Your match results are permanent. Once an organizer records a result, it stays on your profile.
  • 3.Entry fees go directly to organizers — we don't hold any money. Always confirm payment details before sending anything.
  • 4.Organizers are verified by us. But disputes between you and an organizer about prizes or fees — we help mediate, we don't guarantee outcomes.
  • 5.Cheating, match-fixing, or being rude to other players can get you removed from the platform.

The full version is below if you want the details.

1. Using Gametayo

If you’re using this platform — signing up, joining tournaments, or applying as an organizer — you’re agreeing to what’s written here. Simple as that.

You need to be at least 13 years old to have an account. If you’re under 18 and joining paid tournaments or applying as an organizer, make sure a parent or guardian is aware and okay with it.

For now, Gametayo is focused on the Philippines. That’s the context everything is built around.

2. Your player account

One account per person. We know it sounds obvious but — don’t make multiple accounts to dodge a ban, farm stats, or whatever else. If we find duplicates, we remove them.

Your display name, your match history, your placements — all of that is permanently attached to your account. We don’t delete results because you lost or because you don’t like how a tournament went. That’s kind of the whole point of the platform.

Keep your login info private. If someone else gets into your account and does something bad with it, that’s on you.

3. How you should act in tournaments

This shouldn’t need to be said, but:

  • Play fair. Don’t cheat, don’t use hacks, don’t exploit bugs that aren’t part of the game.
  • Don’t collude or throw games on purpose. Match-fixing is an instant ban.
  • Respect the organizer’s rulings during the event. If you think something was wrong, use the dispute system — don’t just cause a scene.
  • Treat other players with basic respect. You’re at a computer shop or a school event. Act like it.

Breaking any of this can get you disqualified, suspended, or permanently removed from the platform. We don’t want to do that, but we will.

4. Organizer accounts

You can’t just sign up and run tournaments. You need to apply, and we review and approve each organizer manually. That’s how we keep the platform trustworthy.

If you’re approved, here’s what we expect:

  • Be honest about your organization and what kind of events you’re running.
  • Run your tournaments properly — clear rules, fair brackets, timely results.
  • Pay out prizes as advertised. If you announce a prize pool, you need to actually give it out. Failing to do this is a serious violation.
  • Handle registrations and payments responsibly. Players are trusting you.
  • Use the dispute system in good faith when players raise issues.

We can revoke organizer status at any time if we feel you’re not holding up your end of the deal.

5. Entry fees and money stuff

Gametayo doesn’t collect entry fees. Payments happen between players and organizers directly — usually via GCash. We’re the record-keeping layer, not the payment processor.

Because of that, we can’t guarantee refunds or resolve payment disputes ourselves. Always confirm the GCash number and payment instructions with the organizer before sending money. If something goes wrong with a payment, you’ll need to work it out with the organizer — we can help facilitate, but we can’t reverse GCash transactions.

6. Match results and records

When a verified organizer records a result, that result is official on Gametayo. It goes on your profile and stays there.

We don’t claim these records are recognized by any game publisher or esports federation outside of our platform. It’s your record within the Gametayo ecosystem.

Think something was recorded wrong? You have 24 hours from when the result was posted to raise it through the dispute system. After that window, we generally won’t reopen it unless there’s a clear technical error on our end.

7. Disputes

The dispute system is for when you genuinely believe a result was wrong — not for when you’re just upset about losing.

  • Submit disputes through the platform, not through social media or messaging us directly.
  • Our admins review the evidence and make a call. That call is final.
  • If you abuse the dispute system — submitting fake claims, spamming disputes, trying to pressure organizers — you can lose access to it.

8. Things you upload

Team logos, screenshots, feedback — anything you submit to Gametayo, you’re giving us permission to store and display it on the platform. We don’t claim ownership of your stuff, but we need to be able to show it.

Don’t upload anything illegal, offensive, or that belongs to someone else without permission.

9. Your data and privacy

We collect what we need to run the platform — your account info, your city, your tournament history, stuff like that. We don’t sell your data to anyone.

Your public profile (display name, match history, placements) is visible to anyone on Gametayo. Your email and contact details are never shown publicly.

10. Platform issues and downtime

We do our best to keep things running but we can’t promise the platform will always be up and error-free. Server problems happen, especially during peak tournament seasons.

We can update, change, or remove features as needed. We’ll try to give notice for big changes, but we can’t always.

11. What we’re not responsible for

We’re not liable if you miss a match because of downtime, or if an organizer doesn’t pay out prizes, or if a GCash transfer fails. We mediate and record — we’re not a guarantee on everything that happens at a tournament.

Use the platform and participate in tournaments at your own risk, with that understanding.

12. Updates to these terms

We might update these terms occasionally. If we make big changes, we’ll let users know through the platform. Continuing to use Gametayo after changes go live means you’re okay with them.

13. Questions

If something here is unclear or you want to talk about it, use the feedback button in your dashboard. We’re a small team and we actually read those messages.
